Lisa deHart Lehner is a partner in the Firm’s Business Practice Group, Immigration Group and Estates and Trusts Practice Group. Lisa joined the firm in 2001 as a partner. Lisa’s practice respects the connectedness of many related practice areas.

Lisa counsels businesses, business owners and individuals in Ohio and in Indiana in matters such as corporate governance, shareholder transactions, contract negotiation and preparation, immigration law, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, business litigation, employment issues and international business transactions. She represents start-up businesses and small and medium-sized privately-held businesses along with non-profit corporations. She works with many types of businesses including real estate developers, professional service companies, manufacturing companies, information technology companies, distributors, franchisors/franchisees and marketing firms.

Lisa assists business clients by also practicing real estate law, including, commercial transactions, real estate litigation, easement acquisition, real estate transactions, zoning and subdivision matters, negotiations and document preparation of lease and/or purchase agreements, real property tax law, tax abatement law, wastewater law and various aspects of municipal law.

Lisa’s business practice generates a substantial amount of estate planning and business succession planning needs. Consequently, Lisa advises clients in creating estate plans and business succession plans for clients utilizing various types of trusts, gifting strategies and charitable donations.

Lisa is engaged in the community. She served as County Attorney for Dearborn County, Indiana for many years. In 2003 she was selected as a recipient of the Tristate’s “Forty under 40” Award for her professional civic accomplishments. In 2006, she was selected for Leadership Cincinnati, Class XXX, based upon her community involvement and leadership. In 2005 and 2006, Lisa was named as a “Rising Star” in the area of Business Law by the publishers of Law and Politics Magazine.

Lisa resides in Southeastern Indiana with her husband, Kermit Lovelace, and her daughter, Claire.
