Joel F. McGuire is a Partner in the Firm's Litigation Group. He began his career as a civil litigation attorney in 2001 after graduating from Northwestern University School of Law. Joel is admitted to practice in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, and his practice areas include commercial litigation, labor and employment litigation, international litigation, transportation litigation, banking litigation, and condominium law. Joel has repeatedly been named one of Ohio’s Super Lawyer Rising Stars by the publishers of Law & Politics magazine.

Joel has extensive experience at all stages of litigation, having served as first chair in numerous jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations, and having conducted appellate oral argument before Ohio's appellate courts.

Through his extensive training and experience at trial, Joel has earned the professional litigation certification of "Master Advocate" by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), and is currently the only attorney in greater Cincinnati that has done so.

Before attending law school, Joel served as a U.S. Army officer and Airborne Ranger, leading soldiers overseas in Kuwait and Bosnia. Due to his professional accomplishments and community service, the Cincinnati Business Courier recently named Joel one of the top forty business professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area under the age of forty.
