Dr. Rayan Coutinho practices in the firm's Business & Corporate Law Group and the Zoning & Public Sector Law Group. Rayan's practice focuses on intellectual property and technology law for individuals, businesses and governmental clients, such as municipalities and townships. Rayan joined Wood & Lamping LLP in 2004 as a law clerk, while earning his J.D. and Ph.D. in engineering (mechanical). Due to his educational background and experience with manufacturing processes and computer technology, he is able to understand the technology, jargon and practical aspects of a client's processes or systems and take those into consideration when providing legal services. Rayan was selected as an Ohio Rising Star 2009 by the publishers of Law & Politics Magazine and Super Lawyers Magazine.
 
Rayan and his wife Anna are residents of Anderson Township and love the beautiful parks and cultural activities that the Greater Cincinnati area has to offer. Rayan enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, bicycling and running. As a board member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Cincinnati Chapter 21, Rayan is actively working to advance manufacturing and engineering industry in the United States and to ensure that, American kids, when considering their career options, will recognize the benefits rendered to themselves and to society by the engineering profession.
